Happy February, ScorpioDuring January, you worked hard to stay calm, even during the intensity of Mercury retrograde. Scorpios must practice extra self-care during times of stress to avoid lashing out at loved ones. You have a deadly stinger, Scorpio. Use it wisely. When the sky goes black with a new moon in aloof Aquarius on Tuesday, February 1, you may feel more detached from your emotions than usual. This is a good thing! Because you're an emotional water sign, you tend to think with your heart instead of your head. But it's essential to examine your life logically, and the Aquarius new moon (a time for new beginnings) is the perfect night to do so.

Thankfully, Mercury retrograde ends on Thursday, February 3. Now that that's out of the way, you can decide how you want to handle Valentine's Day. This time of year is exactly nine months away from Scorpio season, so you were likely conceived around this time, and if you are trying to have kids, understand that procreation around this point will result in more Scorpios. So, it's okay if the holiday is important to you (even when you pretend that it's not).

But following themes from earlier in the month, you should have a (dare I say) stable Valentine's Day this year, regardless of your relationship status. The wise asteroid Pallas enters Aries, a sign which shares one of your ruling planets, warrior Mars, on Monday, February 14. This transit brings a clear understanding. No, of course there's no reason to feel bad for yourself if you're single — being single can be the best. But whether you're dating or in a relationship, you'll also be able to identify and communicate your desires surrounding the date to your partner(s). Also, on Monday, February 14, the communication planet Mercury enters cool Aquarius. Whether you're with friends, your number-one sex toy, or (safely) wining and dining, understand that you're where you should be.

In bold Leo, a vivid full moon lights up the sky on Wednesday, February 16, turning your attention to professional ambitions. Because full moons align with manifestations, you may finally get a raise or complete a long-term project around this time. And, with the influence of gorgeous Leo, a sign made for the spotlight, this full moon suggests abundance, pride, and accomplishment. Try writing down some nice things about yourself, Scorpio, even on Post-Its above your desk. When fellow emotional water sign Pisces season begins on Friday, February 18, you may feel paranoid at times, even when you don't need to be. So remember to practice self-soothing techniques and look at your Leo full moon notes to remind yourself of your power.
